This is book two of the Gemini Series and I must admit i didn t really care for this story The heroine Alyssa Miles is a spoiled trust fund baby, who has has spent her life in the spotlight, getting in trouble, drugs, finding new ways to draw attention to herself, with no real direction in her life, and upset that no one takes are seriously oh gee I wonder why Derek Taggert is assigned security for a charity event and spots the sexy Alyssa Now Derek doesn t know who she is, but he does know she [...]
Good storyline, with a little action and a whole lot of hot smexin It s all good
I may have found my next favorite romantic suspense author I couldn t turn the pages of this book fast enough Very well written and pretty well plotted The characters were believable and their relationship seemed real I am looking forward to reading about the other 2 brothers For once I was okay with reading about a spoiled rich girl She seemed very real charming and vulnerable Just a quick review I ll try to fill this out later.

Here s a lesson from this book Don t trust anyone Good very good I really liked it The story was good, a bit harsh here and there, but I appreciated the insight about diamond mines and what really happened there At the beginning I had some trouble with the heroine, who seemed to be really vapid and bi dimensional, but she really improved He, I want a man like this Always there for you The HEA was really a bit of tale side but good full 4 stars
Caught was very good and Kept is starting off even betterAnd it finished with 5 stars It was a romantic suspense with steam Felt like a Shannon McKenna or a Linda Howard book Excellent entry in a great series.

2nd book in the series Derek, the hero, got on my nerves through most of the book Only because he was to scared to admit his feelings, and was at times kind of cruel to Alyssa He manages to totally redeem himself towards the end of this book There is a bit suspense in Kept than was in Caught , the book first in the series.
I didn t like it as much as the first, but it was still a good read The heroine was a little hard to relate to The hero was a jerk, but I like jerky hero s so it worked for me The bad guys were definitely sinister in this one, much suspenseful then the first

I stay away from trade size romance books as a whole When I picked up this proof copy I had no idea that it was to be a trade book I m glad I wasn t paying attention, because I actually liked the forthright story The mysteries and hidden agendas are spelled out for you, leaving the author time to concentrate on the relationship forming between the two main characters I wasn t quite expecting to know who done it the page after it was done, but it was still fun to see the characters get to figure [...]

I loved that a controversial subject was approached in the book and therefore an excellent lesson taught and great moral passed on I ve written other reviews for Alden s other books and I pretty say the same thing about the plots, characters, dialogue, and AHEM passion Also Jami actually intermingles real life struggles and hardships in her stories and definitely doesn t pull unbelievable nonsense from out her ass since the subject is often VERY real in the real WORLD Yes, stuff like what happen [...]

I did not think I would end up loving this book I mean, the heiress falls for bodyguard theme is a little too overused and clichebut the whole blood diamond theme made this book so special Loved Alyssa More than I ever expected Such a wonderful heroine Derek, though kind of douche y, was still my kind of guy after he got his head out of his ass Such an unexpectedly pleasant read Enjoyed this so much
I found this book to be an easy, quick read and I don t mean because of the smut The story telling was fast paced, the puzzle pieces of all the different plot points weaving themselves together for a climatic ending that was just okay It was a nice distraction book but not one that I d keep on the shelf for a re read I ll admit that I am curious to see what kind of story JA will come up with to loosen up the oldest brother, though.
I loved book 1 but I can t really give this one a fair review because I absolutely hated the heroine The whole Paris Hilton thing even if she is trying to get over it makes me faintly ill I just can t read paparazzi stories I ll still look for book 3 though Incidentally order doesn t seem to matter between these two.Gemini Men1 Caught 2008 2 Kept 2009 3 Unleashed 2009
I really enjoyed this read It is different enough from the first book that you don t feel cheated, and although the other brothers are present, they don t dominate at all I kind of started out thinking the hero was not particularly interesting, but the characters, the plot, the steamy bits oh yeah , and how well it was all pulled together with great writing just sucked me in The hero and heroine are so well drawn and complex that I would really recommend this book.
